Vitaly Shcherbo, a six-time Olympic champion, holder of the title “The World’s Best Athlete 1992”

Vitaly Shcherbo, Belarusian sportsman (artistic gymnastics). Born in Minsk on January 13, 1972.

USSR Merited Master of Sports (1991), Belarus Merited Master of Sports (1994). Since 1993 he has worked as a sports instructor for the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of Belarus, member of the national artistic gymnastics team. XXV Olympics champion (1992, Spain). Bronze winner of the XXVI Olympics (1996, USA). 14 time world champion, 10 time European champion. Winner of the Goodwill Games (1990, USA). Student Games champion (1993, 1995). The world’s best sportsman in a decade (1991–2000).

He has lived in the USA (Las Vegas) since 1996,and owns a gymnastic school.  Shcherbo has been the trainer of the US artistic gymnastics team since 1998.
