About the project

BELARUS.BY is aimed to provide key information about the Republic of Belarus, its tourist and economic potential.

Designed and supported by the BelTA News Agency.

The website has three identical versions, in English, Russian, and Belarusian. The Chinese-language version was launched in late 2015. Plans have been made to further expand the range of language options.

The website takes into consideration the interests of different categories of users.

The section "About Belarus" contains key information about geography, nationality, history and culture of Belarus.

The secion "Travel" provides information about Belarus’ places of interest and offers recommendations regarding visas, transport, insurance, healthcare provision and other tips that will make traveling to Belarus safe and comfortable.

The section "Business" is designed to help potential investors get familiar with business environment and legal requirements of doing business in Belarus.

The section "Invest" presents an overview of Belarus’ investment climate and its key attractions for foreign investors, provides short profiles on the main sectors for investment and on potential investment projects in the country.

In the section "Government" visitors will learn about Belarus’ state structure and governmental institutions.

Press Centre contains the latest update on Belarus’ foreign policy. The news is available in pictures and video.

The economic news will be available in the sections "Business" as "Business News". The major developments of the country’s political life may be found in the section "Government" .
