Pripyat National Park
The Pripyat National Park is located in the heart of the Polesie lowland, dubbed as the lungs of Europe. It is a realm of floodplain meadows and forests, a real paradise for ornithologists and bird watchers.
The forests of the national park are considered to be the best preserved among the floodplain forests of the Pripyat and Dnieper basins. These places are unique for the entire East European Plain. The Pripyat National Park features rich biodiversity: oak trees, ash trees, small-leaved forests, which alternate in lowlands with black alders, willow bushes and lowland bogs.
