MINSK, 30 April (BelTA) – ZTE Corporation will expand its investment strategy in Belarus. The possibility was discussed as Belarusian Economy Minister Dmitry Krutoi met with ZTE Corporation Chairman of the Board Li Zixue on 26 April, BelTA learned from the ministry’s website.
The ZTE Corporation chairman of the board mentioned the negative effect the U.S. sanctions are having on the company. In his words, the situation has prompted a revision of the company’s policy on investing in projects abroad. Li Zixue assured that the company will not only finish the project to start manufacturing telecommunication equipment in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone but will also expand its investment strategy in Belarus.
Li Zixue also described the corporation’s office in Belarus as the best one in the region.
ZTE Corporation was founded in China in 1985. It is headquartered in the city of Shenzhen. It is one of the largest manufacturers of telecommunication equipment and mobile phones. A representative office of ZTE Corporation reached the Belarusian market in 2004. IOOO ZTE was established in 2009. The Belarusian company focuses on introducing IPTV and GPON technologies, selling data network equipment, building cell towers, modernizing mobile communication networks, and selling mobile devices.
