MINSK, 26 April (BelTA) – Senior Counselor of the Embassy of Belarus in India Vitaly Mirutko took part in a business accomplishment award ceremony and a business seminar organized by the India Global Business Forum, BelTA has learned.
The event took place in Bangalore, the capital city of the state of Karnataka. The governor of the region conducted the ceremony to award about 40 representatives of successful businesses. Heads and representatives of a number of foreign diplomatic missions attended the ceremony.
The Belarusian embassy’s representative arranged a presentation of Belarus’ export potential and opportunities for business cooperation with Belarusian enterprises. Vitaly Mirutko also talked about the appeal of the special economic zone Bremino-Orsha to potential Indian investors. The zone boasts significant transportation, logistics, and manufacturing capabilities.
Possible participation of Belarusian enterprises in efforts to increase export to Bangalore and Karnataka as a whole was also discussed during the business seminar. The establishment of direct ties with Belarusian manufacturers of trucks, construction machines, and agricultural machines was discussed as well as prospects of sales of special-purpose municipal vehicles for collecting household waste. Educational and cultural cooperation with Bangalore – a sister city of Minsk – was discussed.
