SOCHI, 18 September (BelTA) – Union State industrial programs aim to unite import substitution policies of Belarus and Russia, Belarus Industry Minister Vitaly Vovk said at the plenary meeting of the 2nd forum of regions of Belarus and Russia on 18 September, BelTA has learned.
According to the minister, successful Union State industrial programs should be the foundation for uniting import substitution policies of the two countries into a single import substitution program of the Union State. “This will help overcome sanctions and economic threats,” he said.
Vitaly Vovk noted that the implementation of Union State programs proved that the existing mechanism of resolving complicated scientific and technical issues is efficient. Five scientific and technical programs of the Union State, including in such industries as optics, microelectronic technologies, automobile electronics, are being developed and harmonized. All these programs are aimed at creating innovative products, first of all, for the trade and manufacturing complex of Belarus and Russia.
