VITEBSK, 30 March (BelTA) – The 11th edition of the international economic forum Innovations. Investments. Prospects will take place in Vitebsk on 18-19 May, BelTA learned from the Vitebsk Regional Marketing Center.
This year the region’s key economic event will be staged on the main concert venue of Vitebsk - the Summer Amphitheater and the surrounding area. Here companies and districts of Vitebsk Oblast will showcase their capabilities. The central theme of the forum - “Creative economy – economy of the future” - is meant to emphasize the importance of innovations for economic growth.
Speaking at the plenary session that will open the forum will be senior officials of Vitebsk Oblast and partner regions, representatives of leading enterprises of various sectors, top managers and business owners. The forum will include panel discussions on such relevant topics as innovative import substitution, clusters and technology parks as drivers of regional development, special economic zones and their role in promoting cooperation in manufacturing, strategies for interaction between education and business. Taking into account the experience of previous years, the events will be held in a combined offline and online format.
The business program of the forum will include thematic expositions and demonstration sites “Territory of innovations in industry”, “Light industry as a platform for cooperation opportunities”, “Innovations in pharmacy, healthcare, medicine”, “Energy: resources and technologies”, “Innovative equipment and machinery”, “Tourist potential of Vitebsk Oblast”. Visitors to the exhibition/fair Agro-Industrial Potential of Vitebsk Oblast will be able to taste products of local manufacturers. Business match-making sessions will be arranged with a view to expanding markets and building new contacts in manufacturing, construction, agriculture, transport and logistics, information technology, and education.
In 2022, 15 delegations of Russian regions, as well as representatives of India and Iran, took part in the forum, including by videoconference. Six cooperation documents in economy and education were signed.
The forum will be organized by the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee and the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, the Vitebsk Regional Marketing Center, the FEZ Vitebsk administration, the Vitebsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Vitebsk Regional Union of Employers.
