MINSK, 27 June (BelTA) – Vietnam is eager to develop investment cooperation with Belarus, Vietnam President Tran Dai Quang said during the Belarusian-Vietnamese business forum on 27 June, BelTA has learned.
The Vietnamese leader noted that Vietnam will welcome Belarusian investments, especially in the mechanical engineering industry and the production of industrial equipment.
Tran Dai Quang pointed out that businessmen play a very important role in the development of economic cooperation. Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union have a free trade zone agreement that came into force in late 2016, which should give an additional impetus to economic growth.
Belarus remains a priority partner in the Eurasian region for Vietnam. “Given the complementarity of our economies, we can establish ties between our enterprises, set up new joint ventures, and promote the joint product to foreign markets together,” Tran Dai Quang said.
