MINSK, 23 November (BelTA) – Growth was posted by enterprises affiliated with the Industry Ministry, woodworking industry and the Belgospishcheprom food industry concern, Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Parkhomchik said at a joint session of the House of Representatives and the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus on 23 November, BelTA has learned.
"Today, the industrial complex generates almost a third of GDP and about 80% of merchandise exports. In January-October of this year, industrial output amounted to 94.1% year-on-year. Growth was posted by enterprises affiliated with the industry Ministry (up by 6.5%), woodworking industry (up by 6.9%) and Belgospishcheprom food industry concern (up by 2.4%) " Piotr Parkhomchik noted.
As for oil refining and light industry, they have not yet reached last year’s level, although production recovery dynamics has been good, he said.
"Belneftekhim posted the output at the level of 87.5% year-on-year, Bellegprom - at the level of 96.4%," Piotr Parkhomchik said.
