MOSCOW, 6 June (BelTA) – The Belarusian delegation at the 23rd St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is led by Vice Premier Igor Petrishenko, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian embassy in Russia.
The delegation also comprises Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Vladimir Semashko, Economy Minister Dmitry Krutoi, Deputy Energy Minister Vadim Zakrevsky, Minsk Oblast Vice Governor Nikolai Rogashchuk, Deputy Director of the National Agency of Investment and Privatization Denis Meleshkin, and others.
The Belarusian delegation is expected to take part in the plenary sessions of the forum and its sections: Strategy for the Future of the Eurasian Economic Union, Global Energy Sector: Challenges and Opportunities, Russian Economy Seeking Ways to Boost Growth, Energy Panel.
Vladimir Semashko is expected to meet with the governors of Vladimir Oblast, Arkhangelsk Oblast, Moscow Oblast, the acting governor of Kursk Oblast.
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is the CIS biggest annual forum held in St. Petersburg since 1997. This year’s forum will stay open through 8 June. It is expected that the forum will welcome about 15,000 guests from 75 countries, representatives of more than 270 companies.
