MINSK, 19 March (BelTA) – The second Belarus-Russia Forum of Regions will take place in Veliky Novgorod in September 2015. The matter was discussed at the meeting of the Belarusian part of the organizing committee on 18 March, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Council of the Republic.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic Anatoly Rusetsky. “The forum is scheduled for September 2015 in Veliky Novgorod,” the press service said.
The participants of the meeting also discussed the expansion of Belarusian-Russian cooperation, including at the interregional level.
The first Belarus-Russia Forum of Regions was held in Minsk on 5-6 June 2014. Partaking in it were 188 Russians (19 regions) and 117 representatives of Belarus. The participants of the forum discussed cooperation areas in the agricultural sector, worked out recommendations for a coordinated agrarian policy and food security in the Union State.
