MINSK, 24 July (BelTA) – Ukraine is interested in the supplies of liquefied gas from Klaipeda in transit through Belarus. The matter was discussed at the meeting of the intergovernmental Belarusian-Ukrainian commission on trade and economic cooperation in Chernigov on 24 July, BelTA informs.
According to Vice Premier of Ukraine Gennady Zubko, Kiev is impressed by Belarusian practices in upgrading boilers, house winterization and bio fuel production.
“With a low gas price, Belarus demonstrates progress in energy efficiency. Thus, it is important to look into the future, create new conditions, new prospects", Gennady Zubko said.
In Chernigov the Belarusian-Ukrainian mixed commission discussed current issues and prospects of bilateral cooperation in industry and agriculture, between regions and in the transport sector. Special attention was attached to the implementation of the investment potential, production cooperation and financial instruments to support mutual trade.
The commission was headed by Belarusian Vice Premier Vladimir Semashko and Vice Premier, Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Services of Ukraine Gennady Zubko.
