ABU DHABI, 31 October (BelTA) – The United Arab Emirates are interested in Belarusian technologies and experience in the aerospace industry. The sides are considering cooperation options in this area. The information was released by Ambassador of Belarus to the UAE with concurrent accreditation to Qatar Roman Golovchenko after negotiations between Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, BelTA has learned.
According to the source, during the negotiations Alexander Lukashenko and Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan discussed cooperation in the aerospace industry in detail. “The aerospace industry is a development priority in the UAE for the next few years. A special economic zone will be established in the country for the sake of implementing the relevant projects,” noted the Ambassador.
In his words, Belarus has a lot to offer to partners in the UAE since it has secured some serious accomplishments and has a recognized potential in satellite technologies, in engineering unmanned aerial vehicles and small aircraft.
