GRODNO, 24 November (BelTA) – Turkey’s organized industrial zone Ikitelli is exploring the possibilities of locating its manufacturing facilities in FEZ Grodnoinvest, BelTA learned from the Administration of the Free Economic Zone Grodnoinvest.
The biggest industrial zone in Istanbul has been offered opportunities to set up its production sites within the FEZ in Grodno Oblast. Land plots for a special zone of Turkish investment have been selected in Grodno, Lida, and Smorgon.
“We suggest locating Turkish production lines in one of the seven clusters of Grodnoinvest (woodworking, metalwork and mechanical engineering, chemical and petrochemical industry, agriculture, light industry, logistics or tourism). These are the areas which are considered promising in the region, including the raw material base, an anchor investor, highly-qualified personnel and other factors. The Turkish investment zone can be set up in one or several clusters. Its resident-companies will enjoy all the envisaged preferences, including easy tax and customs terms. For the creation of the Turkish investment zone Grodnoinvest is interested in such a big investor as Ikitelli. The zone has experience in setting up its business platforms in other countries and now it shows interest in branching out to Europe. It explores the opportunities of investing in Grodnoinvest and FEZ Mogilev,” Deputy Head of the FEZ Grodnoinvest Administration Dmitry Rozhkov said.
The corresponding negotiations are underway. Representatives of the Turkish organized industrial zone Ikitelli are expected to pay a visit to Grodno FEZ to discuss an industrial park project.
Ikitelli is one of the leading industrial zones in Turkey. FEZ Grodnoinvest is home to 75 resident companies today.
