MOGILEV, 17 September (BelTA) – A transport and logistics center will open in Mogilev at the end of 2015. The facility is being built as part of Belarus’ logistics network development program, Director of the Mogilev branch of Beltamozhservice Sergei Gzhelyak told a press briefing, BelTA has learned.
According to Sergei Gzhelyak, the project of Mogilev construction company to build the center is in full swing. Br 110.7 billion has been utilized in 11 months. Beltamozhservice has provided about Br130 billion worth of loans.
At the new complex located in Krupskoy Street transport companies and importers will be able to store cargoes at special storage facilities and open platforms. Apart from that, the center will provide all kinds of services, including the customs processing of cargos, comprehensive coverage of deals.
“It is important that the transport and logistics center will have railway routes. Thus, companies will be able to transship cargos from automobile to railway transport and vice versa. I think this will be interesting for entrepreneurs and companies from Russia. We have recently used this opportunity to reload cargos from two railcars to the automobile transport and deliver them to Poland,” Sergei Gzhelyak said.
He added that a similar facility may be opened in Bobruisk. The town has a favorable geographic location not far from Minsk in the vicinity of the Kiev-Vilnius motorway and has a well-developed railway network.
