MINSK, 31 January (BelTA) – The tariff on services of oil transportation along the oil pipelines located in Belarus will be raised by 6.6% as from 1 February. The tariff will be increased in accordance with resolution No.6 released by the Belarusian Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Ministry on 28 January 2020, BelTA has learned.
The Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Ministry noted that the ministry’s proposals fell on deaf ears during negotiations with colleagues from the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia despite previous verbal agreements that losses of OAO Gomeltransneft Druzhba should be compensated. Thus, the ministry’s proposals did not meet understanding. The sides did not come to an agreement on by how much the tariff should be raised and a statement of disagreements was signed as a result.
This is why the Belarusian Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Ministry decided to raise the tariff by 6.6% in line with the guidelines on adjusting the tariffs on oil transportation (transit) along the oil pipelines located in the Republic of Belarus. The guidelines were approved by the Belarusian Economy Ministry and the Federal Tariff Service of Russia (now known as the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia) on 27 January 2010.
In line with the guidelines the tariff has been raised by the average annual consumer price index set by the Russian Federation social and economic development forecast for 2020 at 3.6% plus three percentage points.
