MINSK, 2 December (BelTA) - State support during the COVID-19 pandemic amounted to some Br2 billion this year, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said at the House of Representatives' meeting as he spoke with the MPs about the government's program through 2025 on 2 December, BelTA has learned.
“According to preliminary calculations, the total amount of support to the economy made up almost Br2 billion. These are the incentives and measures that the state used to support both citizens and organizations amid the current difficult situation. I believe this amount to be significant for our country,” Roman Golovchenko said.
In his words, the validity of Decree No.143 “On measures to support the economy” will be extended for six months. The draft decree has almost been approved. It will be submitted to the head of state in the near future.
According to Roman Golovchenko, state support under decree No.143 amounted to about Br65 million. These are mainly tax benefits.
