FANIPOL, 23 April (BelTA) – Opportunities available to foreign investors in Belarus were demonstrated to participants of the international conference on sustainable industrial development in medium-income countries of Europe and Central Asia on 23 April using the company Stadler Minsk as an example, BelTA has learned.
Participants of the conference visited ZAO Stadler Minsk where they were made familiar with all the stages of train production, including the production of KISS type double-deck electric trains. The company is now busy working on a major order for the Russian mass transit company Aeroexpress.
Stadler Minsk’s success was partially attributed to the strong support of municipal authorities in Belarus. According to Philipp Brunner, Stadler Rail Group’s First Deputy Director, the human resources potential is another essential advantage of working in Belarus. “There are very competent workers here, who have been trained within quite a short time. Now we have quality, speed, and effectiveness,” he said.
During the tour of the enterprise Philipp Brunner also informed participants of the international conference in detail about other advantages available to foreign investors in Belarus.
The international conference “Sustainable industrial development in middle-income countries of Europe and Central Asia: Innovations and technology (needs, potential, proven experience)” is scheduled to take place in Minsk on 23-24 April. Participants of the conference are also expected to visit the companies Adani and Game Stream.
