MINSK, 29 October (BelTA) – Space industry, IT and the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant are Belarus’ future growth points, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said as he met with representatives of the BRSM Youth Union on 29 October, BelTA has learned.
The president is convinced that without them the state will not be able to develop in modern conditions. “We need growth points. It is not enough to build a plant today. The world has been rapidly developing in certain areas. We are currently busy with the things which will be vital in future. This is the energy sector and renewable energy resources,” he said.
The president explained that the construction of the NPP in Belarus will “spur the development of the entire economy of our small country.” Belarusian youth construction brigades made their contribution to this project. Now there is a need to think about the next important public project where student construction brigades could deploy their efforts.
Alexander Lukashenko highlighted the importance of the development of the space industry, the IT industry and the upcoming digitalization of Belarus.
