MINSK, 1 December (BelTA) – Belarus’ Ambassador to Egypt Sergei Terentyev has met with Governor of South Sinai Khaled Fauda, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Egypt.
The parties emphasized mutual interest in developing interregional ties in economy, tourism, education, healthcare, culture and sports. The ambassador informed the Egyptian official on the state of the Belarusian-Egyptian cooperation and also the plans to host bilateral events in Egypt in early 2021 to boost tourist exchange.
The governor confirmed the readiness to host the Belarusian delegation in Sharm El-Sheikh in 2021 during the Minsk Oblast Days in South Sinai. The parties agreed to take concrete steps in the coming months to intensify cooperation in spa resort services, transfer the Belarusian experience and technology in physiotherapy and balneotherapy treatment, healthcare, including cooperation between the Sharm El-Sheikh International Hospital and the medical institution of Minsk Oblast.
The parties also discussed the establishment of partner relations between leading universities, the development of interregional trade, and a cultural exchange.
