MINSK, 19 April (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Turkey Andrei Savinykh met with representatives of big industrial companies of the Aegean Sea region in Izmir on 19 April to discuss optimal strategies of setting up joint ventures, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The event was attended by over 30 representatives of the Turkish business. “During the meeting, a substantive discussion on the potential of cooperative relations and industrial cooperation between the two countries was held. The optimal strategy and the first steps towards the creation of joint ventures were discussed in details,” the press service of the ministry said.
Andrei Savinykh announced the next session of the Belarusian-Turkish Intergovernmental Economic Commission to be held in late May in Minsk and invited Turkish businessmen to participate in the Business Forum, which will take place as part of the meeting of the Commission.
The Belarusian diplomat will stay in Izmir until 21 April. The program of the visit includes a series of roundtable sessions on the prospects for trade, economic and investment cooperation between Belarus and Turkey in organized industrial zones in Izmir and Manisa. Andrei Savinykh will meet with members of Izmir's Association of Industrialists, Association of Young Businessmen, and also the leadership of a number of major industrial companies.
