YUZHNO-SAKHALINSK, 4 September (BelTA) – Sakhalin Oblast will continue purchasing the Belarusian equipment, Sakhalin Oblast Governor Oleg Kozhemyako told the Belarusian and Russian federal mass media in Yuzhny-Sakhalinsk, BelTA has learned.
The head of the region noted that today BelAZ trucks are used at the Solntsevsky coal strip mine. Almost every farm has Belarus tractors. There are MAZ trucks and buses on the roads of Sakhalin. Amkodor machinery is used in the utilities service. “Supplies of Belarusian equipment are an important area of cooperation,” the governor said.
Oleg Kozhemyako stressed that the Belarusian equipment envisages aftersales service and training of specialists.
Oleg Kozhemyako added that the cooperation in various areas, including the supplies of equipment, will be discussed during his visit to Belarus in October 2017.
The meeting of the Belarusian and Russian journalists with Sakhalin Oblast Governor Oleg Kozhemyako took place as part of a press tour to the region organized by the Union State Permanent Committee and the international information agency Russia Today.
