MINSK, 26 December (BelTA) – Belarus’ MAZ has delivered 75 high-capacity diesel-powered low-floor buses to Russia’s Rostov-on-Don as the city is preparing for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, BelTA learned from the website of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia.
The ceremony to transfer the buses took place in the city’s Theater Square on 24 December. The event was attended by head of the Rostov-on-Don city administration Vitaly Kushnarev, and also Rostov Oblast industry and transport ministers.
Vladimir Neronsky, head of the Rostov-on-Don office of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia, handed a symbolic bus key to Vitaly Kushnarev during the ceremony. The mayor, in turn, commended the quality and comfort of the Belarusian-made buses.
