MINSK, 27 June (BelTA) – PAO Sberbank will introduce a lending technology powered by neural networks in Belarus. Sberbank President, Chairman of the Board German Gref made the relevant statement after meeting with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on 27 June, BelTA has learned.
Technology transfer was one of the matters discussed during the meeting of the two presidents. German Gref said: “We’ve discussed modern technologies, which we use in Russia these days, and the availability of these technologies on the Belarusian market via our daughter bank. Various cooperation avenues are available starting with providing a technology for lending money to small and medium companies using neural networks to automatically make decisions.”
In his words, Sberbank specialists in Russia are now training the neural networks using data sent by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus. “We hope we will launch the technology in Belarus by the end of the year,” he said.
“Transferring technologies for client identification was also discussed. We’ve reached an agreement with the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus on the matter – it was their request for the transfer of these technologies. And we will introduce the relevant technologies on the Belarusian market via our daughter bank, too,” said German Gref.
