MOSCOW, 18 January (BelTA) – In 2017 the Russian coal-mining company OAO Kuzbassrazrezugol intends to commission 70 new haul trucks made by the Belarusian company BelAZ, the press service of the Embassy of Belarus in Russia told BelTA quoting sources in Kuzbassrazrezugol, which is based in Kemerovo Oblast, Russia.
The Russian company has signed contracts for the delivery of 70 BelAZ-made haul trucks in 2017. The number will include 22 trucks with the carrying capacity of 130 tonnes (BelAZ-75131) and 48 trucks with the carrying capacity of 220 tonnes (BelAZ-75306). The Russian company will spend nearly RUB7 billion on the acquisitions.
The new haul trucks have been bought for all the open pits of the company. The delivery of the trucks will be finished in June 2017.
According to Sergei Ryabkin, head of the automobile transport division at Kuzbassrazrezugol, ten new BelAZ trucks are already in use. Those are three 130-tonne haul trucks and seven 220-tonne haul trucks.
According to Kuzbassrazrezugol, at present the company uses 530 vehicles as part of its technological processes. BelAZ haul trucks represent 95% of the figure.
Kuzbassrazrezugol is Russia’s second largest coal-extracting company. The company operates six open-pit coal mines and one underground coal mine.
