MINSK, 4 September (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the Republic of South Africa Andrei Molchan met with Deputy Minister of Rural Development and Land Reform of the Republic of South Africa Candith Mashego-Dlamini in Capetown on 3 September, BelTA learnt from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties discussed the issues related to the supplies of Belarusian equipment to the Republic of South Africa as part of the South-African rural development program. The embassy held a presentation of the Belarusian farm-machinery industry. “The South-African side also showed interest in the Belarusian agro-town construction practices and the social-economic development of the country’s rural areas,” representatives of the ministry said.
Partaking in the meeting were also representatives of the RSA leading farmers’ associations and Variquip, the company representing the interests of the Minsk Tractor Works in the region.
