MINSK, 20 November (BelTA) – Charge d'Affaires ad Interim of the Republic of Belarus in the People’s Republic of China Tatiana Kharlap took part in the opening ceremony of the 3rd International China Robot Technology and Intelligent Equipment Expo in the city of Baoji, Shaanxi Province, China, representatives of the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Beijing told BelTA.
The Belarusian diplomat also met with top officials of the Baoji city administration. Prospects of advancement of Belarus-China cooperation were discussed. Tatiana Kharlap pointed out that Baoji companies could follow the example of the Chinese company Baoguan and start operating in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone. The diplomat underscored the importance of development of new high-tech branches of the production sector (robot technology, aircraft and rocket engineering, production of smart things) in the city of Baoji.
Belarus-China diplomatic relations were established on 20 January 1992. When Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko visited China in September 2016 the leaders of both countries signed a joint declaration on establishing the highest level of relations between the countries: trustful comprehensive strategic partnership and mutually beneficial cooperation.
