MINSK, 1 October (BelTA) – Belarus-Turkmenistan cooperation has prospects of development in all areas. The matter was discussed at the video conference “Belarus-Turkmenistan: Prospects for Bilateral Cooperation”, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry which has organized the event together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Ulakhovich emphasized the interest in the online meeting from the Belarusian business community, which points to the prospects for the development of Belarusian-Turkmen cooperation in all areas. Vladimir Ulakhovich suggested holding a series of industry-specific online meetings and seminars, where representatives of business of Belarus and Turkmenistan will be able to study in detail the possibilities of mutually beneficial cooperation.
The event was also attended by Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan Dovletgeldi Recepov, Ambassador of Belarus to Turkmenistan Vyacheslav Beskosty, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Belarus Nazarguly Sagulyyew, representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of Turkmenistan, the Turkmen Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and others. More than 50 managers and representatives of Belarusian enterprises joined the event.
The speakers provided up-to-date information on the development of the Belarusian-Turkmen trade and economic cooperation, barriers that have emerged, particularly in the logistics sector, as well as on measures taken to further expand bilateral cooperation, increase trade and promote business contacts.
