Prodexpo 2016 to gather over 220 exhibitors from ten countries in Minsk

MINSK, 4 November (BelTA) – Some 220 exhibitors from ten countries, including Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Latvia, Greece, Syria, Moldova, Georgia and Italy will take part in the 22nd international food industry expo and fair Prodexpo 2016 in Minsk, BelTA learned from the organizers.

The forum will run at the football arena in Minsk from 8 to 11 November.

This year’s edition of the forum will welcome particularly large delegations from Greece, Georgia and Poland. Syria will make its debut.

Over 250 official guests from different countries interested in supplying Belarusian foodstuffs, drinks and other food industry products to their markets have been registered so far to attend the expo.

The program of the forum includes educational workshops, tastings, and presentations of new food products.

An international bread fair will be held as part of the forum. The spotlight of the fair will be on the products by the Belarusian confectioners who won medals at the IKA Culinary Olympics 2016 in Erfurt, Germany.

The international culinary championship will be another highlight of Prodexpo 2016. Professional and amateur confectioners will present their works from caramel, chocolate and other delicious ingredients in ten nominations. The eventful program of the forum also includes the international bakery symposium, tastings of bread, pastry and confectionery products, company presentations, and other events.

Prodexpo 2016 is organized with the support of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry, the Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Ministry, the Belarusian food industry concern Belgospishcheprom, Minsk City Hall, and the Belarusian National Union of Consumer Societies (Belkoopsoyuz).
