MINSK, 19 April (BelTA) – Ukrgasbank has resumed the program of preferential-rate loans for buying Belarusian vehicles, machines, equipment. The relevant supplement to the agreement between the Belarusian government and the Ukrainian bank was signed in Kiev on 18 April, representatives of the Embassy of Belarus in Ukraine told BelTA.
The agreement will allow Ukrainian consumers to buy Belarusian vehicles, machines, equipment on preferential terms. It will also reduce the interest-rate cost of the loans. Since the program was launched, Ukrgasbank has issued over 400 loans to the tune of about UAH500 million.
The list of commodities the program covers includes various mechanical engineering products such as agricultural machines, automobiles, road construction machines, and other kinds of equipment. Products of 77 Belarusian companies are on the list.
Similar supplements were previously signed with Ukreximbank and the First Ukrainian International Bank (FUIB).
