SMOLEVICHI DISTRICT, 3 June (BelTA) - Belarus is interested in attracting more tourists from Kazakhstan, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said during a working meeting with Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov of Kazakhstan, BelTA has learned.
“We see significant reserves in the development of cooperation in tourism. We are interested in attracting more tourists from Kazakhstan, developing business, health, medical and cultural tourism. In order to raise awareness of each other’s capabilities I propose to organize press tours of Kazakhstan media to Belarus and Belarusian media to Kazakhstan on a parity basis this year,” Roman Golovchenko said.
Other promising areas of cooperation include landscaping, housing and utility services. “Belarusian enterprises, in particular, producing waste processing plants are already implementing their projects in various cities of Kazakhstan, for example in Aktau, Kostanay, Atyrau. We see prospects in continuing cooperation in the processing of solid domestic and industrial waste,” the Belarusian head of government said.
Another important topic is water treatment and wastewater disposal. “We know that this topic is also of interest to Kazakhstan. We are ready to move forward in this direction,” the prime minister added.
Roman Golovchenko once again emphasized the need to increase trade between the two countries - both by increasing Belarusian exports to Kazakhstan and by increasing imports of Kazakhstan products to Belarus.
