MINSK, 16 April (BelTA) – Belarus-Russia trade has started to bounce back, Belarus’ Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said at a delegations-level meeting with Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin on 16 April, BelTA has learned.
“At the beginning of 2021, we see a very encouraging trend showing that the bilateral trade is recovering. In January-February Belarus’ merchandise export to Russia rose by about 5%, and Russia’s export to Belarus increased by nearly 25%,” Roman Golovchenko said.
According to the National Statistical Committee, in January-February 2021 Belarus-Russia trade in goods and services amounted to $5.3 billion, up by 11.9% year-on-year. The export of goods and services to Russia amounted to $2.3 billion, up by 2%.
