MINSK, 31 July (BelTA) – Representatives of the Belarusian state light industry concern Bellegprom and the light industry association of Uzbekistan have discussed the establishment of joint ventures, BelTA learned from the Bellegprom website.
A Bellegprom delegation led by the concern’s Chairman Nikolai Yefimchik is in Uzbekistan on a visit. The delegation held negotiations with members of the Cabinet of Ministers and top officials of textile industry, leather industry, footwear industry, and cotton industry associations of Uzbekistan on 31 July. The establishment of joint ventures in Uzbekistan was discussed. The sides talked over cooperation in leather and footwear industries, cooperation in delivering popular Belarusian products to Uzbekistan and in shipping Uzbek products to satisfy needs of Bellegprom enterprises.
Representatives of Bellegprom and the Uzbek textile industry association discussed progress in implementing the intentions to advance cooperation in light industry affairs so far this year.
The Bellegprom delegation is expected to meet with the governors of Bukhara Oblast and Navoiy Oblast of Uzbekistan on 1 August.
