MINSK, 25 January (BelTA) – China’s new economic development strategy focuses on the domestic market development and offers more prospects for Belarusian high-quality exports to China, Belarus' Consul General to Shanghai Andrei Andreyev said as he took part in the seminar “Rapidly changing world and prospects for Eurasian cooperation”, BelTA learned from the Consulate General of Belarus in Shanghai.
In his speech on the opportunities to advance the Belarusian-Chinese trade and economic cooperation within the framework of China’s dual-cycle economic model, Andrei Andreyev highlighted the importance of new cooperation prospects.
The seminar was a web-based event that brought together experts from Belarus, China, Russia, and Kazakhstan. The organizer was East China Normal University.
Taking part in the event were heads and experts of analytical and research departments of the Development Research Center of the State Council of China, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies, research centers of Belarus, Russia, and Kazakhstan, East China Normal University, Russia’s Higher School of Economics, and Kazakhstan’s Institute for Philosophy, Political Science, and Religion Studies.
Belarus was represented by the Belarusian Institute of Strategic Research, Belarusian State University, the Belarusian Embassy in China, and the Consulate General of Belarus in Shanghai.
The participants discussed a wide range of matters regarding the development of China’s relations with Eurasian countries in the new political and economic realities.
