MINSK, 4 February (BelTA) – The Belarusian-European investment forum will be held in Austria in cooperation with the European Commission, spokesman for the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Mironchik told media on 4 February, BelTA informs.
The matter will be discussed at the consultations held in the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs with a delegation of the European Commission led by special adviser at Directorate General of Trade Peter Balas. The visit is underway on 3-5 February.
The consultations will discuss trade between Belarus and the European Union and its development, mutual access to markets, the progress in the talks on Belarus’ WTO entry and further joint steps in this area. Cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Union and the European Union will also be in the limelight.
The EC delegation has already met with First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Mikhnevich. The program of the visit will also include meetings with representatives of the Economy Ministry, the Agriculture and Food Ministry and the Industry Ministry of Belarus.
