MINSK, 6 September (BelTA) – Investment projects of Minsk’s Partizansky District were presented during the official meeting with a delegation of Xuhui District of Shanghai at the Partizansky District Administration of Minsk. The information is posted on the website of the district administration, BelTA has learned.
This is the second visit of a Chinese delegation to Partizansky District. A Shanghai delegation led by Chen Gaohong, Chairman of the Xuhui District People’s Congress, paid a visit to the Belarusian capital in June 2015. The visit resulted in a memorandum of intent to establish relations of friendship between the Xuhui District People’s Congress and the Partizansky District Administration.
The current visit will last through 7 September. The delegation will visit the Maxim Gorky Central Children’s Park, the Minsk City Technology Park, and school No.10 with kids studying the Chinese language. They will also pay a visit to International Sakharov Environmental Institute, Precast Concrete Plant No.1, and a number of construction sites.
Partizansky District already has economic ties with China. Seven enterprises export their goods to this country, including Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark), Slodych and Laser and Information Technologies. Major exports to China are liquid crystal equipment, farm machines and confectionery. In H1 2016, the exports totaled $730,000.
The engineering company Belkommunmash is busy implementing a Belarusian-Chinese project to manufacture a new type of public transport, electrobuses powered by supercapacitors. The building company 25th Chinese Corporation for Road Construction registered in Partizansky District is implementing such important projects as the construction of a therapy unit and a 23,000m2 student residence. The company attracts Chinese investments to the Belarusian economy.
