MINSK, 10 August (BelTA) — Over 6.8 million tonnes of grain, including rapeseed, has been threshed in Belarus, BelTA learned from the Agriculture and Food Ministry.
As of 10 August, 6.89 million tonnes of grain (including rapeseed) was harvested, which includes 5.834 million tonnes of cereals and leguminous crops (84% of the area under these crops, yields at 33.8 centners per hectare) and 1.056 million tonnes of winter rapeseed.
The regional breakdown is the following: Minsk Oblast harvested 1.864 million tonnes of grain (including rapeseed), Grodno Oblast - 1.574 million tonnes, Brest Oblast - 1.52 million tonnes, Mogilev Oblast - 734,000 tonnes, Gomel Oblast - 656,500 tonnes and Vitebsk Oblast – 541,000 tonnes.
As to other crops, 90.9% of winter rye was harvested, 83.8% of spring barley, 83.8% of wheat, 82.7% of oats, 81.7% of triticale, and 65.9% of leguminous crops.
All oblasts have completed harvesting winter barley and winter rapeseed.
Meanwhile, flax was pulled from 40,800 hectares, which is 91.1% of the area under this crop.
