MINSK, 19 September (BelTA) – Omani businessmen have plans to invest in agricultural production in Belarus, Vladimir Ulakhovich, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), told BelTA.
“Today’s meeting with the Belarusian head of state discussed agriculture-related matters, including investments in agricultural production in Belarus to boost the agricultural output and exports to the the Arab Gulf countries and the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union,” Vladimir Ulakhovich said.
The parties also talked about industrial cooperation. For instance, the Belarusian mechanical engineering company Amkodor is considering the establishment of a joint venture in Oman to sell, assemble and service Belarus-made vehicles and equipment. “Amkodor will hold a presentation of its products today. Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ trademark) has already shipped the first batch of products to Oman. This country shows interest in Belarusian buses,” Vladimir Ulakhovich added.
