MINSK, 11 May (BelTA) – The number of resident companies of the Belarus-China Industrial Park Great Stone is expected to rise to 55-60 in 2019, Head of the Administration of the Industrial Park Great Stone Alexander Yaroshenko said during the celebration of China-Belarus Industrial Park Day, BelTA has learnt.
“At present we have 34 resident companies. The latest was registered on 8 May. By the end of the year their number is expected to make at least 40. In 2019 there will be not less than 55 companies, while the projected number is over 60. In general, we want this figure to reach 100 by 2020,” Alexander Yaroshenko noted.
He unveiled the amount of resources invested in the industrial park since the launch of the project. “This year the figure is expected to reach $0.5 billion. This will be resources of the resident companies and investments in infrastructure. At present the figure stands at over $300 million,” he informed.
Alexander Yaroshenko underlined that it is important now to showcase the successful projects that are being implemented in the industrial park. “This can encourage our resident companies to step up their activities related to registration, construction and, first of all, production in our park. One of good examples is the U.S. company Rukhtekh that has plans to manufacture machines with laser equipment. They launched construction at the end of the last year; this year the first stage of manufacturing facilities and an administrative building will be commissioned. An interesting detail: the administrative building will host the company’s personnel training center. They use top-notch technologies; there are few such competencies in Belarus, but the center will train such specialists. And I hope that these will be Belarusian specialists,” he noted.
Alexander Yaroshenko informed that ten resident companies are to roll out their first products by the end of the year. “They will finish the registration procedure, conclude rental agreements and will get down to work or complete the construction of production premises and start manufacturing their products. We also hope that another 20 resident companies will launch construction works this year,” he added.
As of today, some 34 resident companies from eight countries are registered at the industrial park. “They represent various industries, like production of solar batteries, autonomous cards and drones, specialized robots. These are very advanced and innovative products,” Alexander Yaroshenko concluded.
Plaques of 11 new resident companies were solemnly unveiled during the celebration of China-Belarus Industrial Park Day. Awards were presented to the three companies that were the first to commission their production facilities. These are the Chinese-Belarusian trade and logistics subpark, OOO CETC China Electronic Technology, and OOO Levanta Group.
