MINSK, 18 July (BelTA) – The number of business incubators will be doubled in Belarus by late 2020, BelTA learned from Belarusian Deputy Economy Minister Irina Kostevich on 18 July.
“We now intend to raise the number of business incubators by two times by the end of the five-year term. Certainly, we are going to reach for small towns, for the countryside,” noted the Deputy Economy Minister.
In her words, Belarus intends to draw from Moldova’s experience, which was discussed during the recent informal dialogue of the economy ministers of the Eastern Partnership Initiative countries in Kiev. “Moldova’s experience helped us see from a different angle what needs to be done, how the potential of incubators can be raised, how they can be created, how interaction with municipal government agencies should proceed. Incubators are the place for budding businesses, which truly need assistance with regard to free premises and services such as accounting, information services, legal services,” said the Deputy Economy Minister.
