MINSK, 12 December (BelTA) – The development strategy of Belarusbank till 2020 does not envisage the sale of a minority interest, Chairman of the Board of OAO Belarusbank Viktor Ananich told reporters after his report to Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on 12 December, BelTA informs.
“We do not envisage the sale of a minority interest, 25% that we have discussed, to an investor in the strategy of bank till 2020,” Viktor Ananich said. “Time will show. We do not envisage it in the strategy right now. We see that today the conditions that were set for the sale of the minority interest can not be accepted either by the bank directors or by the owner. Therefore, we do not plan to sell it in the coming three years.”
BelTA reported earlier about the negotiations with a number of foreign investors on the sale of the minority interest of Belarusbank. Besides, there was information about the possible IPO in 2019.
