MINSK, 27 October (BelTA) – The national electronic logistics system with 5G technology, the construction of a railway terminal and other projects will make up a new stage of development of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone, Head of the Administration of the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone Aleksandr Yaroshenko said at a session to discuss transport issues as part of the online forum “Alignment of the Eurasian Economic Union and China’s Belt and Road Initiative” on 26 October, BelTA learned from the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
Aleksandr Yaroshenko said that the participants of the national process on digitalization of logistics are interested in launching a pilot project at the Great Stone to implement an integration platform of the national system of electronic logistics with the use of 5G technology. This will help to ensure digitalization of interaction in supply chains, create conditions for its acceleration and implementation of electronic document flow.
Aleksandr Yaroshenko added that the park is implementing optical recognition technology and special operating systems. This will help the park receive information about cargoes, permits, other things.
The participants of the meeting discussed new solutions in transport and logistics, digital transformation of customs services, and also mechanisms of information exchange between logistics digital platforms of the states participating in the Belt and Road initiative.
The world’s leading experts in transport, logistics, customs, representatives of transport companies, associations and industrial parks tried their best to find answers on how to use digital solutions to help the states participating in the Belt and Road Initiative accelerate the procedures of coordination and border crossing, what infrastructure tasks should be solved for this purpose. International experts spoke about the latest changes in the eTIR system, measures developed in response to the crisis caused by COVID-19 in transport and trade.
At the end of the session, speakers expressed their desire to regularly exchange expert opinions in the area of transport and logistics.
The forum “Alignment of the Eurasian Economic Union and China’s Belt and Road Initiative” is underway online on 26-27 October.
