MINSK, 2 August (BelTA) – The Nordic Environmental Finance Corporation (NEFCO) will allocate a loan of up to €1 million to BNB Leasing to finance the development of the electric transport market in Belarus. The government approved the move by the Council of Ministers’ resolution No.499 of 31 July 2019, published on the national legal internet portal on 2 August, BelTA has learned.
According to NEFCO’s suggested project, BNB Leasing will get a loan to the tune of up to €1 million to finance the investment in the market of electric transport vehicles in Belarus.
The Economy Ministry of Belarus has been authorized to notify in writing the Nordic Environmental Finance Corporation that the Belarusian government has no objections regarding the financing of the project.
NEFCO is an international financial institution founded in 1990 by the governments of five northern countries: Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Finland and Sweden. NEFCO finances exclusively environmental and climate-related projects, with the focus on Eastern Europe, the Arctic, Baltic Sea, and Barents Sea regions.
