MINSK, 16 December (BelTA) – A new distribution center has been set up in Russia to promote Belarusian products in the east of this country, Tatyana Glazunova, the head of the center and the founder of the group of companies Rosa, said at a press conference on Belarusian exports to Russia and relevant forecasts for 2016 held on 16 December, BelTA has learned.
“The office of the consolidated distribution center of Belarusian products in Russia is located in Novosibirsk. It has been set up because so far Belarusian goods are scarcely present in Siberia and the eastern part of Russia. For example, Moscow consumes all the potatoes imported from Belarus. We get none of them. And there is very little Belarusian cheese on our market shelves,” Tatyana Glazunova stressed.
The task of the center is not to get a part of the present-day Russian imports of Belarusian products, but rather to create new export flows to the regions where Belarusian goods are not present yet. As for logistics, Tatyana Glazunova noted that all the options will be used, including air, rail and road transportation. “It is rather unfortunate that Belavia has cancelled its direct flight to Novosibirsk. It would be great if the fight link were restored,” she emphasized.
“The quality of Belarusian products is very high, and we would like to have them available in local shops,” Tatyana Glazunova added.
The consolidated center for promotion of Belarusian products in Russia will provide a wide range of services, including logistics, legal and financial support. The center already works with a number of Belarusian companies such as Grodnokhleb and Zdravushka-Milk.
