MINSK, 14 August (BelTA) – Some 5,386,900 tonnes of grain crops, including rapeseed, have already been threshed in Belarus, BelTA learned from the Agriculture and Food Ministry.
As of 14 August, cereals and leguminous crops (excluding corn, buckwheat and millet) were harvested from the area of 1.317 million hectares, which is 68.7% of the designated area. Some 4,461,500 tonnes of grain have been threshed, showing average yields of 33.9 centners per hectare.
Winter rapeseed for grain was cut on 325,900 hectares of land or 99.4% of the targeted area, with 925,400 tonnes threshed with yields averaging 28.4 centners per hectare.
Flax was pulled from 36,400 hectares, which is 83.4% of the area under this crop.
