MINSK, 30 March (BelTA) – The Belarus National Agency of Investment and Privatization (NAIP) and the Chamber of Commerce Italy-Belarus signed the memorandum of understanding and a joint action plan for 2015 in Minsk on 30 March, reads a statement on the NAIP official website.
“The plan provides for the organization of regular Skype conferences for potential investors in various regions of Italy, preparation of the materials about Belarus’ investment climate and opportunities in the Italian language, participation in events organized for representatives of the Italian business and many more,” reads the statement on the NAIP official website.
The Chamber of Commerce Italy-Belarus (La Camera di Commercio Italia Bielorussia – ССIBY) is the only national organization focused on promoting business cooperation between Italy and Belarus and is officially recognized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is part of the huge and important system of Italian chambers coordinated by UnionCamere, the national union that brings together regional chambers of commerce and joint Italy-foreign country chambers. The Chamber of Commerce Italy-Belarus is a reference point of public value for Italian ministries, regional chambers of commerce, public authorities, banks and local institutions on the matters related to business relationship with the Republic of Belarus

Italy is one of the key partners of the Republic of Belarus in economy and investment. As of 1 January 2014 there were 118 companies with the Italian participation in Belarus, including 78 joint ventures. “There is a considerable potential for expansion of economic relations which can be tapped through active cooperation with a network of business associations in Italy,” the NAIP said.
