MINSK, 4 June (BelTA) – Mongolia is interested, as in Soviet times, in Belarusian farm machines, Mongolia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Damdin Tsogtbaatar said during a meeting with Belarus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei in Minsk on 4 June, BelTA has learned.

The foreign guest stressed that Belarus and Mongolia remain close friends. He expressed great interest in further development of all-round cooperation with Belarus

Damdin Tsogtbaatar thinks it is important that the two countries have successfully completed the process of economic restructuring, the positive outcomes of which are already evident.

In his opinion, the Soviet period of the Belarusian-Mongolian relations is a good foundation of cooperation which needs to be used effectively. Damdin Tsogtbaatar stressed that Belarusian products in Mongolia are well known. These are really good brands, especially in mechanical engineering, known for good quality. Mongolia is the traditional market for Belarusian goods. The government has an interest in expanding the export of products of the Belarusian engineering industry and also many other goods.
