We are ready to consider and find mutually beneficial projects between our countries that can benefit both paries,” he said.
The Minsk mayor paid special attention to the industrial potential of Minsk. “Our city has a well-developed industry, including the production of household and utilities equipment, which could be of interest to Mexico. We also see great prospects for cooperation in healthcare. We produce medical equipment and pharmaceuticals. In addition, we can find points of growth in digitalization, education, and cultural exchange,” Vladimir Kukharev said.
He called agriculture an important area of cooperation, especially in terms of supplying potash fertilizers, which are widely used in the agricultural sector of Mexico.
The Minsk mayor also suggested considering possible participation of Mexican businessmen in the annual economic forum in Minsk, which is held ahead of Minsk City Day. “This is a good opportunity to strengthen ties between our countries. We are ready to help organize meetings with Belarusian enterprises,” Vladimir Kukharev added.
The Mexican ambassador supported the idea, emphasizing the importance of economic cooperation, primarily in agriculture. “We are interested in new areas, and we see the potential for interaction in the agricultural sector,” he said.
Eduardo Villegas Mejias expressed hope for further development of cultural ties between Belarus and Mexico. “We are already making steps in this direction. Today's Festival of Mexican Culture is just the beginning. Next year we plan to expand the program with the help of our Mexican companies,” the ambassador said.
In his words, the Mexican Marimba Orchestra is taking part in the Festival of Mexican Culture in Minsk. Everyone will be able to enjoy the performance near Minsk Town Hall.
