MINSK, 17 November (BelTA) – The Free Economic Zone Minsk is expanding cooperation with the business community of Russia’s Pskov Oblast, BelTA learned from the press service of the free economic zone.
A delegation of Pskov Oblast is visiting Belarus on 17-18 November. The delegation includes the heads of the My Business center, the Electropolis technopark and the regional engineering center of Pskov Oblast.
A roundtable was held at the business site of the Minsk FEZ Administration. The head of the free economic zone Anatoly Buben briefed the participants on the opportunities and potential of the Minsk FEZ. The Minsk FEZ administration and the My Business center of Pskov Oblast signed a cooperation agreement.
“We are strengthening ties with the Russian Federation. The signing of this agreement will be the impetus for further cooperation, making concrete decisions and actions to attract Russian investors. By the end of the year we are planning to register new residents in FEZ Minsk and are holding talks with them now,” Anatoly Buben said.
The Russian delegation also visited the international food show Prodexpo.
On the second day of the visit, the members of the delegation will continue getting familiar with the opportunities of the Minsk Free Economic Zone and are set to visit the production sites of the residents - Kamvol, Nero Electronics and Stanexim.
According to the press service, in January-September 2022 FEZ Minsk enterprises attracted 1.7 times more FDI than the same period last year. The production of goods by residents of free economic zone increased by 16% in January-September 2022. Revenue from the sale of goods, works and services grew by 20.5%, and the share of exports amounted to 72%.
