“According to National Airport Minsk, the negotiations were constructive. Agreement has been reached on all the main positions. Now it is up to WizzAir to decide on the flight launch date. This week the the Department of Aviation will hold consultations with the Hungarian ambassador. I hope the ambassador will convey the position of the Hungarian side. We are prepared to consult, to cooperate with the Hungarian side to ensure that the carrier implements the agreements between the aviation administrations,” Artem Sikorsky said.

The representative of the Transport Ministry noted that the agreement between the aviation administrations of Belarus and Hungary has been signed. The carrier can launch flights any time after completing certain accreditation procedures.

“The aviation administrations have created the most comfortable conditions for the carrier to fly both to Minsk National Airport and to regional airports. It is up to the carrier to decide where to fly and at what frequency,” Artem Sikorsky said. There is an agreement on flights from Budapest to Minsk. The Hungarian carrier has not announced its intention to fly to regional airports at the moment.
